A clear sense of what you want to achieve onstage, both individually and as a group.
Realistic goals for your career(s).
A coach or series of coaches. Can be an outside party or you can rotate within the group.
Some sort of social media presence. A place where you can post show dates.
A person or people in charge of booking.
A person or people in charge of maintaining said social media presence.
A shared calendar.
At least one inside joke that cannot be explained to an outsider.
A treasurer who can be trusted to handle coaching payments, application fees, space rentals, etc.
A succinct description of your format.
A reasonable explanation for why you chose that format over the others.
Two group chats.
A unanimously-agreed-upon method of adding or removing members.
A name that you would not be embarrassed to emblazon on a sticker, t-shirt, or hat.
At least one video of a performance per year.
Goodbye parties when one member inevitably moves away for greener pastures.
Reunion parties.
Lots and lots of photos.
